About our contributors

Lee Muthoga holds a LLB degree from the former University of East Africa. He is a children's rights advocate and is active in a number of organisations concerned with the rights of children. He is a founder member of ANPPCAN (African Network for the Prevention and Protection Against Child Abuse and Neglect, Kenya Chapter) as well as being a member of the international body ECPAT (End Child Prostitution and Trafficking). He is a frequent contributor to publications dealing with these subjects. He is a former chairman of the Kenya Law Society as well as of the African Bar Association.

Chiuri Ngugi is a law graduate from the University of Nairobi and holds a Master of Law degree from Columbia Law School. After being called to the Bar, he was for some time involved in public legal education and legal aid practice. He is now in private legal practice. He is a member of the Editorial Board of Wajibu.

J. Munakukaama Nsereko is a Senior Lecturer in Philosophy of Education and Chairman of the Department of Educational Foundations and Management in the School of Education, Makerere University, Uganda.

Professor Donald B. Thomas was formerly with the Department of Agricultural Engineering at the University of Nairobi. His fields of specialisation at that institution were soil erosion and water conservation. Professor Thomas is a Quaker who reads widely on agricultural, environmental, as well as on social and religious issues. He is a frequent book review contributor to Wajibu.

Andrea Useem is an American free lance journalist living in Kenya. She is a member of Wajibu's Editorial Board.
