Friday, 7 May 1999 (1:52 a.m.) Dear Sabrina, In case you phoned me tonight, I apologise for not having the courage to get off the Net! As we'd been having problems with electricity lately, and as my access to the Net was hindered by that negligible fact, I simply could not quit the Net before 10:30 p.m. Sorry, please accept my apology. Last night we thought we'd been hit by a nuclear blast. The force of the explosion was such that the whole high-rise was shaken a little and that we swayed and the skies were all lit by a whitish-yellow light... All this with no electricity which made it even more terrible and blood-curdling. That was a fuel depot in the north-west of the city... Please, use this email address as my Uni address seems to be having problems with the mailbox: djordjev@cent.co.yu Gotta go as it's pretty late and I did not have much sleep last night and was up all day today :)) It goes without saying that I'll update my account of last night with more detail. Any words of hope regarding this terror on your side? G-8, Rugova, anything? The strain is beginning to tell... 44 days of bombing. For God's sake, have people lost their mind? Love, Djordje
